RAK Bank customers can now use Samsung Pay

RAK Bank has announced that their customers can now use their Mastercard Credit Cards with Samsung Pay. Users should be able to add their cards to the Samsung Pay app on their Samsung mobile phones and use that to make payments in UAE and across the world.

Samsung Pay uses both NFC and MagStripe technology to make payments, ensuring compatibility with practically all terminals across the world (except the manual ones). This means you can leave your cards at home and just use your phone. Just make sure you don’t run out of battery.

RAK Bank and Mashreq Bank already support Samsung Pay. A look at the UAE page for Samsung Pay suggests integrations with other banks is underway. The page has images of Emirates NBD, NBAD, and Standard Chartered, among others.
