Apple announces new iPad starting at AED1,299

Apple just announced a new iPad and it’s just called iPad. It’s the same 9.7″ tablet form factor that it essentially replaces the iPad Air 2. It’s even cheaper. Starting at AED1299 for the 32GB version.

That leaves Apple with essentially two versions of iPad moving forward – iPad and iPad Pro. Both the categories have a miniature version. It’s indeed a simpler branding and one that makes sense. The iPad Air was thin and light for when it was announced and today almost every tablet including Apple’s iPad Pro has caught up to Air’s mark.

New customers and anyone looking to upgrade will love this new iPad for use at home, in school, and for work, with its gorgeous Retina display, our powerful A9 chip, and access to the more than 1.3 million apps designed specifically for it.”
