Your smarthome powered by Amazon Echo and Intel – Video

CES 2017 introduced a lot of technology but two of the dominant ones were Amazon’s Alexa service and Smarthome automation. There were literally hundreds of manufacturers that touted compatibility or integration with Amazon Alexa and many more have promised the capabilities will come in this year.

While Amazon did not have an official stand at CES, it did partner with Intel to set up a small ‘home’ right next to the convention centre. The home  showcases what a smart home could work like when you bundle an Echo with an MiOS powered hub built by Intel. One such hub is available to consumers by Vera.

The user in this case was able to control all aspects of their home, including lights, music, TV/projector, curtains, kettles, and locks using just their voice. A user could create a ‘scene’ in which multiple actions take place at one time.

Take a look at the video embedded below for a full-demo.
