Asus announces a new, powerful 2-in-1 PC – Transformer 3 Pro

Asus has launched a brand new Transformer 3 Pro, aimed at the growing 2-in-1 PC market. The Tablet/ PC hybrid packs in a powerful Intel 6th generation Core i7, 8GB of RAM, 512 GB SSD, a superb 12.6-inch touch display and a Harmon Kardon audio system. All that power is packed in an elegant all-metal 8.35 mm thick shell that weighs only 790 g. On the software side, it has full support for new Windows 10 features including Cortana with Voice and Windows Hello face-recognition login.

Asus has never been one to shy away from taking the fight straight to the class-leading gadget, whether it was the Zen AIO with the Apple’s iMac, and now this Transformer which is poised to take on Microsoft’s Surface Pro 4. A big welcoming feature on the new machine is the USB-C port with Thunderbolt 3 along with a full sized HDMI port and USB 3.0. On paper, they have managed to combine the latest and greatest into the Transformer 3 Pro. They seem to have researched all the shortcomings of the competition and ensured a healthy spec list. TechView will be reviewing the hybrid shortly! Stay tuned!
