iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus launches across more Middle East countries
After it’s official unveiling, Apple had announced the first wave of release dates and countries that would receive the all-new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus for purchase. For the first time, 5 countries from the Middle East – UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Kuwait – were shown on-screen at the Apple Event keynote.
The UAE became the first country in the Middle East to see long lines at their new Apple store at Mall of the Emirates on September 17. From September 24, the remaining 4 Middle East countries complete the second wave of launch countries for the new iPhone 7.
At the stroke of midnight, Ooredoo Qatar held a launch event on September 24 that allowed pre-order customers to pick-up their units. At the time of writing, Vodafone Qatar was still showing “Out Of Stock” on their website for different iPhone 7 SKUs.

Note that if you buy either of the new iPhone models in the UAE or Saudi Arabia, Facetime is blocked out-of-the-box. Pricing is inline with the previous model, except the built-in storage options have doubled for each SKU. Expect demand to be high, as retailers are working to restock units. Who’s planning to buy one?
