Sony announces Z3+, will be available in UAE and KSA in June

Sony is opting for a minor refresh to its flagship with the announcement of the Z3+. The new phone retains much of the styling and form factor of its predecessor – the Z3. It does include a few improvements, mainly the new Snapdragon 810 processor and a cap-less USB port that still lets the phone maintain its IP65/68 rating.  The phone is also slightly slimmer (6.9mm) and lighter (144g) than that Z3 which was 7.2mm and 152g respectively.

The phone will start at 32GB, doing away with the 16GB model; looks like the death of the 16GB smartphone is well underway. Lastly, the phone comes in a two new colours which are Copper and Aqua Green. No Gold here, sorry.

The Z3+ is maintaining the 5.2″ 1080p screen, 3GB of RAM, dual-SIM capabilities and Sony’s 20.7 MP camera sensor with a 25mm lens. Unlike the other releases from major manufacturers, the Z3+ is also keeping the microSD slot so you can add additional storage.

There Sony Xperia Z3+ will be available in the UAE and KSA in June.

The detailed specifications of the Sony Xperia Z3+ is available here.
